Community Green Initiative

We all understand the need for community; it’s the village or town that you call home and that supports you, your neighbours and your friends.  If you were to be asked about the needs of your community, you may well think of facilities such as your local school, village hall or church.

We would all like to do more for our communities, but those big schemes that we would like to see come to fruition are often hampered by a lack of time and money.  This needn’t be the case when it comes to reducing your community’s carbon footprint and reducing costs.

In towns and villages throughout England and Wales, where the community comes together to either invest in or take ‘free’ photovoltaic systems from EOS Energy, as a thank you, we will pay 10p per watt purchased into a community fund through our Community Green Initiative. For example a 4kWp system would see £400 paid into a community fund. The funds can be used for projects such as new playground equipment, improvements to the library, Christmas lights, new equipment for the school or a training scheme at the local college.
